Measured survey questions
How much does a measured building survey cost?
The price depends on the size of the building, the drawings you need and the level of detail. Every quote is a fixed price, agreed before we visit.
How long does a measured survey take?
A typical house takes a few hours on site. Drawings are delivered within an agreed number of working days. Larger commercial buildings are scheduled individually.
What is the difference between a measured survey and a topographical survey?
A measured building survey records the building itself: its floor plans, elevations and sections. A topographical survey records the land around it: levels, boundaries, trees and visible services.
What file formats will I receive?
Drawings come as AutoCAD (.dwg) and PDF as standard. Revit models and point cloud files are available on request.
Can I order just the point cloud?
Yes. If you draw in your own software, we can deliver the registered point cloud only, which costs less than a full drawing set.
Do you cover my area?
Yes. We survey nationwide across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and travel is included in your fixed-price quote.
Do you need access to every room?
Ideally, yes. Any area we cannot reach is clearly marked as not surveyed on the drawings, so nothing is guessed.
